Autocomplete cells

Autocomplete cells are configured exactly like Dropdown cells, see: dropdown cells.

The difference is with end user usage, dropdown with values appears when a user starts typing inside a cell, only values that start with typed text are displayed.

Autocomplete cell example

The maximum number of items in an autocomplete cell using the lookup formula is 200. This means that when you start typing in the autocomplete field, the values will be filtered and those that start with the characters entered by the user will be displayed, but only within the first 200 results. The query function is an exception, as it is not limited to 200 results. You can read more about it in the query article.

When values are taken from a section, there is no maximum number of elements.

Remark: When dragging a field from the "Data" tab, an autocomplete field is inserted instead of a dropdown list in the cell.
