Widget - “Multi select” in version 2.3 of the application is a practical tool that allows the user to select several options at the same time. This gives him more flexibility in selecting the values he is interested in, which is especially useful in forms and applications that require selection of multiple items.
Widget description
The Multi select widget is an element consisting of a list of available options that the user can select and deselect as desired.
Data source - If the values and displayed texts are to be retrieved from an external table or list, use a lookup formula to read the relevant records. If the data is typed directly into fields or indicated as a range of cells, leave the Data field blank.
Values (type: text) - are elements representing the available options to be selected by the user. Each value matches one of the options. The data can be entered directly in the field or given as a range of cells.
Displayed texts (type: text) - are descriptions of options visible to the user. Each value is assigned its own text displayed in the interface. Like values, these texts can be typed directly into the field or indicated as a range of cells.
Note that the number of values must match the number of displayed texts in order for the data to be correctly displayed and handled by the widget.
Initial value Initial value - is used to set the default option that is pre-selected in the multi select widget. This is done so that when the widget is loaded, one of the available options is already selected. To do this, simply enter the appropriate value to match the text to be displayed. For example, if the value V1 is entered in the “Initial value” field, Visa will be automatically selected in the multi select widget (assuming that the value “V1” matches this option in the table of displayed text). In this way, the user can immediately see which option has been selected by default.
Orientation - determines the layout of the widget, which can be set in portrait or landscape mode.
Checkboxes position - allows you to specify whether the radio buttons should be on the left or right side of the value.
