In Qalcwise, there is a difference in notation when referring to a cell's address vs. referring to a cell's value or section in different workflow actions.
1. Referring to the address of a section or cell in actions.
When referring to the address of a cell or section, you can do so in two ways: by simply typing the section and cell name or by using the equal sign followed by the section name and cell address in apostrophes. Both notations are equivalent:
1) SECTION1.B1
2) ='SECTION1.B1'
2. Referring to the value in a cell.
If we want to refer directly to the value located in the cell, it's necessary to place an equal sign before referencing that value. The equal sign indicates that we are interested in the value itself in the cell, not just its location.
=SECTION3.A1
For example:
Here are the action steps where these dependencies exist:
- Set cell value
- Set section editability
- Recalculate data in apps
- Redistribute app
- Scan - Send documents
- Create PDF from app
- Create text attachment
- Create docuemnt from rich text
